Bastiaan Visser (1966) is managing partner of Sustainable Capital Group. and founder of Independent Capital Partners.
He has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, private equity and professional advisory. Bastiaan has built up extensive expertise in the advisory of single shareholder companies.
Before joining Sustainable Capital Group, Bastiaan was founder and managing partner of Independent Capital Partners for 20 years, a mid-market corporate finance boutique focused on clean energy. Before that he served as a partner at corporate finance boutique Nielen Schuman, set up the corporate finance division of TMF (Trust, Management & Finance) and worked as a senior investment manager at private equity firm NPM Capital for a period of 5 years. Bastiaan has advised many small and medium-sized businesses in various situations. Bastiaan started his career with Venture Capital Investors (V.C.I.) where he set up and managed two real estate funds in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has experience in the fields of private equity, investment management, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and professional advisory.
He studied business administration at the VU University of Amsterdam, he speaks Russian fluently and is an enthousiastic marathon runner and kitesurfer.
