Frits de Groene is a Partner at Sustainable Capital Group. He joined the firm more than five years ago as one of the first employees and has contributed to its development and growth from an early stage. Over the years, he has advised on a broad range of transactions across Europe, including capital raises, growth financing and M&A processes for companies and investors active in the energy transition and sustainable industries.
Before becoming Partner, Frits gained experience across different roles within SCG, starting as an analyst and progressing through various positions in deal execution and client advisory. This journey has given him a strong foundation in financial analysis, transaction structuring and investor engagement, as well as a deep understanding of the dynamics of mid-market transactions.
Frits holds a Bachelor of Laws from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master’s in Management from ESMT Berlin. He combines a structured and analytical approach with a pragmatic mindset and a focus on building long-term value for clients and stakeholders.
Outside of work, Frits enjoys staying active. He regularly plays padel and goes surfing whenever he gets the chance.
