Michael Barbera is an Associate partner of Sustainable Capital Group (SCG) where he heads all climate technology activities.
He has more than 14 years of private equity, executive start-up, and investment advisory experience and has built an extensive network with investors and founders in climate technology. Michael is passionate about scaling next generation climate tech via capital formation, project finance, M&A, and strategic/commercial advisory.
Before joining SCG, Michael worked as an interim CFO to climate scale ups, was co-founder and CFO of research firm The Climate Board. and was a Vice President at private equity firm Albright Capital Management. While at Albright Capital Michael built and co-led the firm’s impact investments
Michael received his BA from Wesleyan University and his MA (mcl) from Johns Hopkins SAIS where he studied International Finance and Energy Resources and Environment.
