Throughout my very diverse working life I have been involved in and responsible for several high-growth trajectories of companies in their start- and scale-up phase.
In my current adventure at The Student Hotel, we grew through start-up, with a new product and business model, to a scale-up. Within 9 years we have developed a 27 hotels with 10,000 rooms, in 7 countries, run by 750 people.
In a previous role, in a fast-growing technology company, we have not been successful in the scale-up phase. The lessons learned proved to be very helpful at TSH, as well as in my role at Eden, managing the company through growth as well as through the credit crisis impact.
