Role & Responsibilities
As a Sustainable Finance Advisory Intern, you will support our team with business development activities and deliver high-quality advice to clients.
Our work focuses on helping companies craft credible sustainability propositions, fund managers with disclosures, and embedding sustainability into their processes, all aligned with regulatory frameworks such as SFDR and the EU Taxonomy . Our focus spans three key areas: sustainable finance regulation, impact measurement, and investor sustainability standards.
In addition to project-related work, you will also support other teams within SCG — such as our Corporate Finance and Real Estate teams — with broader business development and operational tasks. This means you will gain meaningful experience not only in sustainable finance but also in the wider field of corporate finance.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with sustainability assessments with the use of regulatory (e.g., SFDR, EU Taxonomy) and non-regulatory frameworks (IRIS+, SASB).
- Supporting clients by crafting credible sustainability propositions, disclosures and marketing materials.
- Monitoring and interpreting investors’ sustainability standards and regulatory developments in Sustainable Finance.
- Mapping potential clients, partners, and market opportunities, and assisting with outreach activities (emails, LinkedIn, CRM updates).
Supporting other teams at SCG with general internal tasks, operational support, and business development activities — expanding your exposure across the Ideal Profile
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual in the final year of their bachelor’s program or currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Sustainable Finance, or related fields. A minor or demonstrated interest in sustainability is a strong plus. Ideal candidates will have:
- A strong academic background in Business, Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- A genuine interest in sustainable finance and regulatory frameworks such as SFDR, the EU Taxonomy, and evolving sustainability standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Dedication for a 5–6-month full-time internship.
